I think more and more pro studios are, indeed, setting up workstation areas for various DAW compatibility. A lot of smaller studios see this as a good source of income now so if they are smart they have workstations that support all platforms. But I believe sometimes musicians will record at home and then move to a real studio were you can rent time in a proper room and load into the same DAW you use at home. That issue not withstanding, the closest thing to what the OP wants would be bouncing Entire Mix repeatedly with each track soloed in turn.Īgreed, WAVE is the standard and it's not hard to grab the audio folder, put it on a flash drive and move your project just about anywhere. The first would be "Tracks", the 2nd would be "Busses".Īs I think about this, it doesn't makes sense to export tracks with bus effects applied individually, because the behavior of some plugs on the bus (especially dynamic FX like compression) may be different with only one track going through it than with all tracks assigned to (or sending to) that bus active.

Because you have to select the 'source' category.

I don't think there's a way to do it in one shot. If i have all the tracks bounced to audio i can then import it into any DAW (at the mastering center) and also dont have to bother about specific plugins being available after i recover from a crash.Īppreciate if someone can share an easy option of achieving this. The purpose of doing this is to free my backup from the dependency on the DAW as well as the plugins. Is there some way i can do this in one shot? I have around 15 to 20 tracks in each of my projects and the only way i know of is to export each track separately.

I want to export all the tracks in my Sonar 7 project to audio (with fx,buses and automation applied) for backup purposes and for porting to another system which is not Cakewalk based.
